Uno Duo wins Big A's Fickle Fanny Stakes (The Associated Press)

NEW YORK (AP) -- Uno Duo easily won the $95,000 Fickle Fanny Stakes as the even-money favorite Thursday at Aqueduct.

The gray 3-year-old trained by Bill Mott and ridden by Junior Alvarado pulled clear in the stretch for a 3 1/2- length victory. Lady Gracenote and Carameaway finished in a dead heat for second.

Uno Duo ran six furlongs in 1:12.99 for her third win in seven starts. She paid $4 and $2.20 in the stakes for fillies and mares. Lady Gracenote paid $2.10, and Carameaway returned $3.

There was no show wagering on the four-horse field.

While Uno Duo prevailed as the public choice, long-shot players rejoiced when Front Cover captured the sixth race for maidens at 99-1. She paid $200 to win as jockey Men Chen won for the first time since 2009.

Cougar Ridge wins Big A feature (The Associated Press)

NEW YORK (AP) -- Cougar Ridge rallied to beat Mr Palmer by 1 1/2 lengths in the $79,000 allowance feature Sunday at Aqueduct.

Irad Ortiz, Jr. was aboard for his third win of the day. The 3-year-old gelding trained by Eddie Kenneally got his third win in nine starts. The time was 1:50.89 for 1 1/8 miles on the track rated good.

Cougar Ridge, the early trailer in the six-horse field, paid $8.30, $3.90 and $2.80. Mr Palmer returned $2.90 and $2.70 as the 3-2 favorite, while Two is to Many paid $4 to show.

Ullapool wins Big A's Garland of Roses Stakes (The Associated Press)

NEW YORK (AP) -- Ullapool led all the way Saturday to extend her winning streak to three in the $100,000 Garland of Roses Stakes for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.

The gray 4-year-old trained by Eddie Kenneally and ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. beat Delightful Quality by two lengths for her first stakes victory. The time was 1:11.03 for six furlongs on the fast track.

Ullapool, the 3-2 favorite, paid $5, $3.30 and $2.60. Delightful Quality returned $4 and $3.20 while Baby J paid $3.70 to show.

Mischief Maker wins Big A feature (The Associated Press)

NEW YORK (AP) -- Mischief Maker celebrated opening day on Aqueduct's inner-track with a nose victory over Nuffsaid Nuffsaid in the $79,000 allowance feature on Wednesday.

While 5 for 17 overall, Mischief Maker improved to 3-0-2 in five starts on her favorite surface. Racing is conducted on the winterized strip through early April.

Rajiv Maragh was aboard for trainer Bruce Brown as the 4-year-old ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:45.44 in the race for fillies and mares.

Mischief Maker paid $6.40, $3.30 and $2.50. Nuffsaid Nuffsaid, a slight 2-1 favorite over Mischief Maker, returned $4 and $2.40 while Mr Hall's Opus paid $2.40 to show.

Alpaca Fina wins Big A feature (The Associated Press)

NEW YORK (AP) -- Alpaca Fina rallied for a half-length victory over Winekeeper, giving Aqueduct trainer leader David Jacobson a 1-2 finish Thursday in the $72,000 allowance feature.

Alpaca Fina, ridden by Cornelio Velasquez, raced to her third win in four starts. She paid $15, $5.80, $2.90. Winekeeper returned $4.90 and $2.80, and Summertime Friend paid $2.40 to show as the 4-5 favorite. The Jacobson runners were uncoupled in the betting.

The time was 1:24.12 in the seven-furlong race for 2-year-old fillies.
